Horsham’s autumn diary has two big nights in it. Horsham Fireworks Night is on Saturday 24 October at the sports club in Cricketfield Road, and six days later the Friday Lates come back for one Halloween evening in the Carfax on Friday 30 October. Around them sit Leonardslee’s Halloween trail, a steampunk weekend at Amberley Museum, four Horsham FC home games and Remembrance Sunday on 8 November.

Everything below was checked on 28 September 2026 against the organisers’ own pages, and every entry links back to its source so you can check again before you set off. Two of the town’s usual venues are missing: The Capitol stays shut until its pantomime opens on 29 November, and Horsham Museum is closed for roof repairs until 5 January.   • Bat walk, Wednesday 30 September, 7.30pm to about 9.30pm, Warnham Local Nature Reserve, Warnham Road, RH12 2RA. Free for Friends members, £4 for non-members. The warden leads it at dusk with bat detectors and torches; places are limited, so book at the visitor centre or on 01403 756238 (Friends of Warnham LNR).
  • Botanical Illustration Workshop: Autumn, Wednesday 30 September, 10am to 4pm, Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens, Lower Beeding, RH13 6PP. A day of drawing autumn plants (Leonardslee).
  • Leonardslee Quiz Night, Friday 2 October, 6pm to 9.30pm, Leonardslee. £12.50 for the quiz only, or £25 with a themed hot buffet in the Clocktower Kitchen; four tickets for the price of three (Leonardslee).
  • Murder Mystery Night with Dinner and Drinks, Friday 2 October, 7pm to 11pm, Horsham Sports Club, Cricketfield Road, RH12 1TE (Horsham Sports Club).
  • Autumn Historic Vehicle Gathering, Sunday 4 October, 10am to 4.30pm, Amberley Museum, New Barn Road, Amberley, BN18 9LT. About 150 vintage and classic vehicles, from motorcycles and steam engines to buses and lorries, with rides on a vintage bus and the 1918 steam engine Peter included in admission. Driving a locomotive costs a suggested £5 donation, and the museum says to pre-book because these days sell out (Amberley Museum).

  • Steampunk at Amberley, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October, 10am to 4.30pm, Amberley Museum. Airship racing, walking the plank, teapot racing and tea duelling, with stalls and live acts around the site, all included in general admission (Amberley Museum).

  • Horsham Sports Club Monthly Quiz, Wednesday 14 October, 7.30pm to 10pm. £2 a head, teams of up to six, with half the pot to the winners and half to the club’s charities. Book a table on 01403 254628 (Horsham Sports Club).
  • Leonardslee Comedy Club, Friday 16 October, doors 5.30pm, show 7.30pm, Leonardslee. £19.80 a head or £70 for four, with Markus Birdman on the bill (Leonardslee).
  • The Potion Master’s Quest, Saturday 17 October to Sunday 1 November, 10am to 3pm, Leonardslee. A self-led Halloween trail with an activity book, riddles and a prize at the end. £3 per child, £2.50 for members’ children; pre-booking is essential and non-members also need garden entry (Leonardslee).
  • Autumn Industrial Trains, Sunday 18 October, 10am to 4.30pm, Amberley Museum. Train and bus rides are included in admission, and the museum asks everyone to pre-book because the car park fills on event days (Amberley Museum).
  • Autumn Fungi Walks, Wednesday 21 October, Thursday 29 October and Wednesday 4 November, 11am to 12.30pm, Leonardslee. £25, or £15 for members, led by the gardening team; sturdy boots recommended (Leonardslee).
  • Horsham FC v Walton and Hersham, Saturday 24 October, 3pm, The Fusion Aviation Community Stadium. National League South (Horsham FC fixtures).
  • Family Spooky Silent Disco, Thursday 29 October, doors 4.15pm, last entry 8.30pm, Leonardslee. Two timeslots, the first from 4.30pm for younger families. Early bird tickets have sold out; the standard prices are £17.50 for adults, £12.50 for children aged 2 to 16 and £50 for a family (Leonardslee).
  • Free Halloween Family Quiz, Friday 30 October, 6pm to 8pm, Pulborough Parish Council offices, RH20 2BF. Free, run by the district’s Neighbourhood Wardens (Horsham District Council).
  • Halloween Evening and Ghost Train, Saturday 31 October, 6pm to 9pm, Amberley Museum. The museum after dark with every exhibit open, and ghost trains every 15 minutes from 6.30pm, alternating between Amberley and Cragside stations, until the last at 8.15pm. £17 a ticket, members and non-members alike (Amberley Museum).
  • Halloween Adult Silent Disco, Saturday 31 October, doors 6.30pm, last entry 10.30pm, Leonardslee. Tickets from £22.50 plus a booking fee (Leonardslee).

Horsham Fireworks Night, Saturday 24 October

Gates open at 5pm at Horsham Sports Club, Cricketfield Road, RH12 1TE, and the display goes up at 7.30pm. Early bird tickets are £8 for adults and children over five, and advance tickets £11 (Horsham Sports Club). Halloween Friday Late, Friday 30 October

The council’s summer Friday Lates return for a Halloween special, A Million Dreams to a Million Screams, from 6pm to 8pm at the Carfax Bandstand. It opens with a tribute act to The Greatest Showman and moves into a spooky, high-energy Halloween production. The council runs it with Food Rocks Markets, and asks people not to bring a chair unless they have access needs (Horsham District Council, Friday Lates). Half term runs from 26 to 30 October, and our October half term page has the rest of that week.

November

  • Fungus Foray, Sunday 1 November, 10.30am, Warnham Local Nature Reserve. Jonathan Simons of the West Weald Fungus Recording Group leads a search of the reserve’s hedgerows and woodland. Free for Friends members and accompanied children, £4 for non-members, booking essential (Friends of Warnham LNR).
  • Seasonal Walk, Saturday 7 November, 9.30am, Warnham Local Nature Reserve. A volunteer-led autumn walk of about two hours. £4 for non-members, booking essential (Friends of Warnham LNR).
  • Horsham FC v AFC Totton, Saturday 7 November, 3pm, The Fusion Aviation Community Stadium. National League South (Horsham FC fixtures).
  • Remembrance Sunday, Sunday 8 November, Horsham war memorial in the Carfax. The Royal British Legion leads a parade across the town to the memorial, and a church service follows at St Mary’s in the Causeway.
